Brothers,
Welcome back to Sigma Chi at URI!
After a long absence from campus, we are well on the way to restarting our Delta Sigma Chapter. The nucleus of a new "local" group was formed this past Spring and rush is in full swing as I write.
As a matter of fact, the initial round of Fall bids go out next Wednesday and we are hosting a "welcome" reception on Saturday, September 22nd, for the undergraduates at a location very familiar to us all...
...73 Upper College Road, the new URI Alumni Center. The reception begins after the football game (around 3:00pm) and will run to 5:00ish. Refreshments will be served. Grab a pledge brother or two and come join us. We need a good turnout to demonstrate our Sig spirit!
These new men are our future. The successful return of Sigma Chi to URI depends on them... and your support in all ways possible, even if it's simply a trip to Kingston to attend our reception on September 22nd.
So do what you can, stay in touch, and stop by this website again.
Thanks for visiting. Please check out our other pages by clicking on the sections in the left hand margin. Send us a photo, message, or two if you would!
In Hoc,
Chuck Harrington '73
President, Sigma Chi URI Alumni Corporation
P.S. Also... Brother Mark "Puck" Trovato's annual Pig Roast will be
held on Saturday, Oct. 13, during/after the Homecoming game. All Sigs
are welcome. If you've never taken in one of these famous roasts,
you're missing something extradionary! Please see the Events page for
details, directions, etc.
